Town Council meets on the second and fourth Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m. in Town Hall Council Chamber, 45 Broad St., Westerly. The Council does not meet on the fourth Monday in August and December this year.

Committee of the Whole holds special workshops the first and third Monday of each month, at 7:30 p.m. in Town Hall Council Chamber, 45 Broad St., Westerly. The committee does not meet on the first Monday in September (Sept. 4) this year.

The Planning Board meets the third Tuesday of every month at 7:15 P.M. in the Town Hall Council Chambers.

Zoning Board of Review meets the first Wednesday of each month at 7:30 P.M. in Town Hall Council Chambers.

Beach Information

* The Westerly Town Beach 2006 Season beach parking stickers will be sold at the Westerly "Old" Town Beach in the parking lot guard shack on WEEKENDS starting May 6th, 2006.

* Passes will be sold from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm - WEATHER PERMITTING

* Fees are ,40 for a regular pass and ,15 for a senior pass (62+). Payment by check is preferrable.

* The Facility/Pavillion will be open weekends beginning May 20th, 2006 and daily beginning June 24th, 2006.

Water Charges

There is a minimum water charge of ,43.00 charged per livable unit. For this amount you receive 2400 cubic feet, or 18,000 gallons of water. This averages out to about .01 cents per every 5 gallons of water used. For usage over this minimum amount a single family residential unit will be charged an additional ,3.37 per 100 cubic feet, or 750 gallons.

A multi family or commercial property is charged an overage of ,3.97 per 100 cubic feet.

Sewer Charges

Every property with access to the Town of Westerly public sewer system is charged ,220.00 per unit per year, whether that property is connected or not. This is a flat rate, not based on water consumption.
